Rep. Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, shared several statements on her social media account on May 10, 2026, addressing topics ranging from motherhood to public safety and support for commercial fishermen.
In one post, Mace thanked former President Donald Trump for his acknowledgment of mothers: “Thank you President Trump for recognizing the most important job of all. Motherhood.” (May 10, 2026).
Later that day, she expressed condolences to mothers affected by violence involving undocumented immigrants: “To every mom who lost a child to a violent illegal immigrant who never should have been here: we see you. You are not forgotten. Our hearts are with you today.” (May 10, 2026).
Mace also shared a message of appreciation regarding her legislative efforts in support of commercial fishermen: ‘”We want to extend our sincere appreciation to Congresswoman Nancy Mace for her leadership and continued support of America’s commercial fishermen. The amendments she successfully pushed forward make a real difference for the hardworking men and women who make their living on’ (May 10, 2026).
Nancy Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021. Before her current role, she served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston at age 45, Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
