Rep. Nancy Mace, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 1st district, recently used her social media platform to advocate for legislative action on several issues and comment on public controversies.

On March 7, 2026, Mace expressed support for a bill targeting severe crimes against children, writing: “The Death Penalty for Child Rapists Act is something everyone should get behind. If not, please do some soul-searching.”

Later that evening, she addressed the ongoing debate over daylight saving time reforms in Congress. On March 8, 2026, she posted: “Stop changing our clocks. Pick a time. Stick with it. The Sunshine Protection Act has been sitting in Congress waiting. Let’s pass it and never speak of this again.”

In another post on March 8, 2026, Mace commented on public memory regarding high-profile criminal cases: “Everyone seems to have conveniently forgotten their relationships with Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. We have not.”

Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in the U.S. House since 2021 after succeeding Joe Cunningham and previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace graduated from The Citadel in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science degree.
