Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, addressed several topics on her Twitter account on February 18, 2026, ranging from community engagement to criminal justice and transparency regarding the Epstein files.
In her first post of the day, Mace highlighted a meeting with local nonprofit leadership: “Our office met with the new CEO/President of the Community Foundation of the Lowcountry, Aaron Falk. We were able to connect him with our office’s resources and establish a new, valuable relationship with our constituents.” (posted at 16:30 UTC).
Later that afternoon, she commented on public opinion about unsealing documents related to Jeffrey Epstein: “75% of Americans support releasing the rest of the Epstein files, no matter who it implicates from either party. The number should be 100%. This isn’t political. Co-conspirators need to go to jail no matter who they are.” (posted at 17:01 UTC).
In an evening tweet concerning criminal justice in South Carolina, Mace criticized local law enforcement and prosecution: “Alexander Dickey walked free. Then he murdered Logan Federico. A beautiful young woman is dead because Solicitor Byron Gipson failed to do his job. This isn’t his only failure. Gipson has been cutting deals, going soft on violent criminals, and betraying the families who” (posted at 19:25 UTC).
Mace’s remarks come as part of her ongoing work as a federal representative for South Carolina’s coastal region—a position she has held since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021. Before serving in Congress, she was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston, Mace graduated from The Citadel in 1999.
