Rep. Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, addressed issues ranging from child protection to international human rights and government accountability in a series of posts on January 17, 2026.
In her first post of the day, Mace highlighted concerns about sentencing for child sexual abuse offenders: “This is Donald Gresh, a child predator who had more than TWO THOUSAND photos and videos of toddlers being raped. Raped by grown men, raped by animals, truly horrific child sexual abuse material. He served one, ONE single day in jail before being released. This man lives here in https://t.co/srnQw05kO1” (posted January 17, 2026).
Later that night, she turned her attention to Iran’s treatment of protesters: “We unequivocally condemn the Iranian regime’s murder of thousands of innocent protesters and stand with the Iranian people as their cries for freedom echo around the globe. May they decide their own future of freedom, not confined by terror.” (posted January 17, 2026).
In another statement posted shortly after midnight, Mace questioned federal oversight regarding fraud across states: “With the amount of fraud being uncovered in Minnesota it leaves the question for how much systematic fraud is happening all over the country. Hard-working, middle class American families paying their taxes to the federal government while the federal government fails to do its https://t.co/wRQjcQY6I9” (posted January 17, 2026).
