Rep. Nancy Mace, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 1st district, shared updates on her official X account regarding recent activities involving a rescue mission in the Middle East, U.S. military presence in Iran, and local community events.
On March 16, 2026, Mace posted about involvement in an overseas operation: “God blessed us with the opportunity to take part in this rescue mission in the Middle East.” The same day, she clarified the status of American forces abroad by stating: “No U.S. troops in Iran.”
Later that morning, Mace highlighted her office’s participation in a local event supporting individuals with developmental disabilities: “Our office attended the 4th Annual Burger Bash for Developmental Disabilities to celebrate National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. The event helped raise money for SOAR, Programs for Exceptional People and Pockets Full of Sunshine to support their organizations'”
Mace has served as South Carolina’s 1st District representative since 2021 after succeeding Joe Cunningham. She previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020 and is a graduate of The Citadel (1999). Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977, Mace currently resides in Charleston.
