Rep. Nancy Mace, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, shared updates on social media addressing national security, political divisions within her party, and community engagement.

On March 31, 2026, Mace expressed concern for military personnel stationed abroad, stating: “Tonight, my prayers are with our brave men and women serving in the Middle East. Bring them home safe. “

Later that day, she commented on legislative efforts related to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and internal Republican Party dynamics: “We’ve voted to fund DHS 11 times. Enough is enough. Senator Thune has become a thorn in the side of the Republican Party and it’s become a national problem.” This post highlights ongoing tensions within party leadership regarding federal funding and policy priorities.

In another message posted on March 31, Mace highlighted her office’s participation in a local educational event: “Our office attended the 5th-anniversary celebration for Lowcountry Tutoring. For five years, they’ve been serving the Bluffton community, dedicated to helping every student reach their full potential. South Carolina STRONG.”

Mace succeeded Joe Cunningham as representative of South Carolina’s 1st district in 2021 after previously serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
