Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district, posted a series of statements on her official social media account between March 10 and March 11, 2026, addressing topics ranging from an attempted terror attack in New York City to local healthcare initiatives.
On March 10, Mace questioned Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez regarding an incident in New York City: “Care to comment on the attempted terror attack in New York City, outside your best buddy’s home @AOC? Or does this not fit the narrative you need to force?”
Later that evening, she responded to criticism from a state governor with another post: “No one is using you as a prop, Governor. We asked simple questions about your state. If you look foolish because you can’t answer them, you did it all by yourself.” The tweet referenced ongoing discussions involving state-level governance and accountability.
The following morning, Mace highlighted her office’s participation in a local healthcare event: “Our office attended the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Your Health on Hilton Head Island. Their private practice has joined Your Health to expand access to health care services across the Lowcountry. South Carolina STRONG.”
Mace has served in Congress since 2021 after replacing Joe Cunningham and previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. In addition to her political career, she graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
