Rep. Nancy Mace, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, posted several statements on her official Twitter account between April 8 and April 9, 2026, addressing legislative actions and social issues.
On April 8, Mace moved for a committee subpoena in relation to the ongoing investigation into Jeffrey Epstein. She wrote: “Mr. Chairman, I move that the Committee issue a subpoena to the Honorable Pamela Jo Bondi to appear before the Committee for a deposition regarding the Department’s handling of the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and his associates and compliance with the Epstein Files” (April 8, 2026).
Later that day, she highlighted proposed legislation designed to support victims of privacy violations. In her post she stated: “For every woman who has had her privacy violated by a hidden camera, a secret recording, or an intimate image captured without her consent. Our Sue VOYEURS Act gives victims their power back: the right to sue their violator in federal court for up to $150,000 for each intimate” (April 8, 2026).
On April 9, Mace commented on gender-related policy debates by posting: “Coming from someone who can’t define what a woman is and wants tampons in boys’ bathrooms. Sure.” (April 9, 2026).
Mace was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston at age 45. She previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020 before being elected to Congress. Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
