Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district, announced on February 26, 2026, that she and her colleagues have introduced the Death Penalty for Child Rapists Act.
In her first statement of the day, Mace wrote: “We just introduced the Death Penalty for Child Rapists Act. Imagine how different the Epstein scandal would be if this was law.” (posted February 26, 2026).
She followed up an hour later with a direct message: “If you rape a child, you don’t deserve a second chance, you deserve the death penalty.” (posted February 26, 2026).
Later that evening, Mace commented on the ongoing attention to high-profile abuse cases: “The Epstein files don’t stop at party lines. We have questions for everyone.” (posted February 26, 2026).
Mace has served in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021 and previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace is also noted as a graduate of The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree earned in 1999.
