Rep. Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on August 8, 2025, addressing national politics and local community events.

In her first tweet of the day, Mace wrote: “Trump’s in the Oval. Woke’s in the trash.” (August 8, 2025).

Later that evening, she commented on recent unrest in Washington D.C., stating: “There’s no excuse for the violence we’ve seen in our nation’s capital. We support President Trump’s fight to restore law and order and bring safety back to our streets.” (August 8, 2025).

Mace also highlighted a local event recognizing public service retirees: “Happy Feel Good Friday, Lowcountry! Berkeley County Government recently held a celebration for the dedicated men and women retiring this year after years of service to our community. Their work has kept our county safe, strong, and moving forward. We thank them for their” (August 8, 2025).

Nancy Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District since replacing Joe Cunningham in Congress in 2021. She previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born at Fort Bragg in North Carolina in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston at age 45, Mace is also an alumna of The Citadel where she earned her bachelor’s degree.
