Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, used her social media platform to criticize proposals for U.S. military involvement in Iran and called for legislative action instead.

On March 22, 2026, Mace posted: “Are you willing for your kid to die to lower the price of oil?”

Continuing her criticism on March 23, she stated: “Lindsey Graham wants American troops on the ground in Iran. Not his kids. Yours. Not for freedom. But for the price of oil. Unless he’s suiting up for Kharg Island himself, he should sit down.”

In a subsequent post on the same day, Mace added: “Lindsey Graham should stop fantasizing about war and pass the SAVE America Act in the Senate.”

Mace’s comments were directed at Senator Lindsey Graham and his stance regarding potential U.S. military deployment in Iran, specifically referencing Kharg Island—a strategic location known for its oil export facilities.

Nancy Mace has served in Congress since 2021 after previously serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace is also a graduate of The Citadel, earning her Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
