Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district, posted on March 13, 2026, about ongoing efforts to assist Americans stranded in the Middle East amid conflict.

In her first post at 13:02 UTC, Mace stated, “When we say we’re here to help, we mean it.

Thousands of miles away, across an ocean, in a war zone. We will be there.”

Later that day at 16:00 UTC, she highlighted the challenges faced by Americans trying to return home and praised those aiding in evacuation efforts: “There are still so many Americans left in the Middle East trying to get home. We have the team, we have the man power and we have the plan, we just need the planes.

We’re so incredibly in awe of Bryan and the Grey Bull Rescue team for the work they do and for letting us help on”.

By 19:00 UTC on March 13th, Mace emphasized her commitment to ensuring all Americans could return safely: “These are OUR people. Americans who cannot get home.

They are being turned away because there aren’t enough seats on a plane and there aren’t enough planes.

I will not rest until every American who wants to go home gets home.”

Nancy Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since 2021 after previously serving in the state legislature from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
