Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district, shared updates on her legislative and community activities in a series of posts on February 26, 2026.

In one post, Mace highlighted her office’s meeting with local economic leaders: “Our office met with Brantley and Donna from the Colleton County Economic Alliance to discuss ways we can support both the organization and economic growth in Colleton County. Economic growth means jobs, opportunity, and prosperity for our communities. South Carolina STRONG.” (February 26, 2026)

Later that day, she announced new legislation: “INTRODUCING: The Death Penalty for Child Rapists Act to amend Title 18 to authorize the death penalty for aggravated sexual abuse, sexual abuse of a minor and abusive sexual contact offenses against children. It will also amend the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) to” (February 26, 2026).

Mace also addressed transparency regarding congressional conduct: “Mr. Chairman, if my privileged resolution fails on the House floor next week, to expose sexual harassment claims and slush funds by Members of Congress to pay victims, can we do this on our DOGE committee so there is no getting out of this one? @RepTimBurchett “ (February 26, 2026).

Mace has served in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021. She previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020 and holds a degree from The Citadel earned in 1999. Born in Fort Bragg in 1977, she currently resides in Charleston.
