Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, used her social media platform on February 3, 2026, to address several issues including public safety, tax cuts for American families, and personal health rumors.

In an early morning post on February 3, Mace wrote: “Above anything else, we stand for law and order and for SAFETY. Safety of law enforcement officers, safety of federal officers and safety of American citizens. All of which is possible and should be common ground for our country.”

Later the same day, she highlighted legislative efforts related to taxation: “We voted to deliver the LARGEST tax cuts in American history for middle- and working-class families. 15% average tax cuts for Americans earning $15,000-$80,000 $10,000 increase in annual take-home pay for working families ZERO taxes on Social Security for the average”

Addressing rumors regarding her personal health in a separate post that afternoon, Mace stated: “Press really should FACT CHECK before running lies. I have a lifelong genetic affliction which prevents me from consuming much alcohol. It’s called HEMOCHROMATOSIS. Look it up.”

Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021. She previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston at age 45, Mace is also a graduate of The Citadel (1999).
