Rep. Nancy Mace, a U.S. Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, announced on February 24, 2026, that she and colleagues have filed a resolution to direct the Ethics Committee to preserve and publicly release records regarding investigations into Members of Congress for sexual harassment and unwelcome advances.
In her post on February 24, 2026, Rep. Mace stated: “BREAKING: We’ve filed a resolution directing the Ethics Committee to preserve and publicly release records and reports on all of their investigations into Members of Congress for sexual harassment and unwelcome sexual advances. Tony Gonzales is just the tip of the iceberg.”
Later that day, she shared information about ongoing congressional hearings focused on veterans’ affairs. At 15:18 UTC on February 24, she posted: ” HAPPENING NOW: We’re CHAIRING a Joint House and Senate Veterans Affairs Committee Veteran Service Organization Hearing! Tune in LIVE.”
A subsequent update reinforced her commitment to veterans’ issues. At 17:17 UTC, Mace wrote: “We will NEVER stop standing up for our veterans.
We are CHAIRING today’s joint House and Senate Veterans Affairs Committee Veteran Service Organization Hearing.
Whether it’s healthcare, benefits without the headache, or the American Dream they earned, we will always”
Nancy Mace has been serving in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021 after previously serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston at age 45. Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
