Rep. Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, provided updates on her work and views in a series of tweets posted on January 21, 2026.
In her first post, Mace shared details about her office’s ongoing constituent services: “LOWCOUNTRY UPDATE Weekly Report from Congresswoman Nancy Mace CONSTITUENT SERVICES Our casework team is currently managing 562 active cases, assisting constituents as they navigate federal agencies including the IRS, the Department of Veterans Affairs, and U.S. Citizenship and https://t.co/rV2JlEj9i1” (January 21, 2026).
Addressing her personal convictions and legislative priorities later that evening, she wrote: “As a woman of faith, I draw strength from the teachings of Jesus Christ. Christ confronted injustice wherever He found it. I will not stand by while abuse is hidden, excused, and ignored.” (January 21, 2026).
Mace further emphasized her commitment to advocacy and legislative work with another statement: “Nor will I be gagged for legislating or doing my job as a Member of Congress, advocating for victims, drafting bills and talking about why those bills matter. No court can take that away.” (January 21, 2026).
Nancy Mace has served in Congress since replacing Joe Cunningham in 2021 and previously held office in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently resides in Charleston. Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
