Rep. Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of updates on October 18, 2025, covering topics from community engagement to domestic violence awareness and national politics.

In a lighthearted post earlier in the day, Mace introduced her followers to a local pet: “This week’s District Dog is Phoebe! Phoebe is an English Bulldog. She’s very sassy and definitely spoiled. She’s the Bills’ #1 fan and already has her Halloween costume ready for the trick-or-treaters!” (October 18, 2025).

Later that evening, she addressed political discourse with a pointed reminder: “Just a reminder for the delusional: We are in America, not Somalia. Donald Trump is our President.” (October 18, 2025).

In another post focused on public safety and legislative advocacy during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Mace highlighted new research: “A new study from the College of Charleston and My Sister’s House shows 46% of residents in the Tri-County area have endured at least one form of domestic abuse. During Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we continue fighting for women through legislation expanding survivor” (October 18, 2025).

Mace has represented South Carolina’s coastal district since replacing Joe Cunningham in Congress in 2021. She previously served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020 and resides in Charleston after being born at Fort Bragg in North Carolina in 1977. Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
