Rep. Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, recently posted a series of updates on her official social media account highlighting local infrastructure efforts, student opportunities, and ongoing concerns for Americans abroad.
On March 15, 2026, Mace shared her engagement with local officials in Goose Creek: “Goose Creek is home. And the people who keep it running deserve to be seen. We sat down with Chuck Denson, Director of Public Works for the City of Goose Creek, to discuss water infrastructure funding and federal resources for one of the Lowcountry’s fastest-growing communities.”
Later that day, she reminded students about an upcoming deadline: “REMINDER The deadline for South Carolina’s 1st District high school students to submit their work for the Congressional Art Competition is Monday, March 30th. The winner will have their art displayed in the United States Capitol and earn a chance to visit our Congressional”
In another post on March 15, Mace addressed evacuation needs: “We still need planes to get Americans out.”
Nancy Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st congressional district since 2021 after succeeding Joe Cunningham. Before serving in Congress, she was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and currently residing in Charleston, Mace graduated from The Citadel with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1999.
