Rep. Nancy Mace, who represents South Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress, issued a series of public safety and national security updates on her social media accounts between March 15 and March 16, 2026.
On March 15, Mace alerted residents about hazardous weather conditions expected in the Lowcountry region. She posted: “Severe Weather Warning
Tonight into tomorrow, the Lowcountry is under a severe weather watch. Strong winds, heavy thunderstorms, and a chance of tornadoes are in the forecast.
Stay aware, stay safe, and keep an eye on your local weather updates.

Later that evening, she addressed escalating military activity overseas by highlighting U.S. missile usage in recent Middle East operations. In her post she stated: “Let us put this in perspective.
Roughly 800 American missiles have been used in just three days of fighting in the Middle East. More than Ukraine has fired during their entire war.
If this doesn’t show you the severity, and URGENCY of this situation, we’re not sure what will.” (March 15, 2026)
The following day, Mace updated constituents about changes to school schedules due to ongoing severe weather threats: ” School Schedule Changes in the Lowcountry
Ahead of expected severe weather tomorrow, some Lowcountry schools have announced schedule changes, including cancellations and e-learning days.
