Rep. Nancy Mace, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 1st district since 2021, used her official Twitter account on June 2, 2026, to announce legislative initiatives and share views on Social Security, Medicare, and federal benefits for immigrants.
In her first post at 15:30 UTC, Mace stated, “We introduced the Preserving Social Security and Medicare for Citizens Act to limit Social Security and Medicare benefits to American citizens, nationals, and lawful permanent residents, while subjecting currently exempt nonimmigrant visa workers to payroll taxes. These benefits https://t.co/P8HXWqHzDX”.
An hour later, at 16:30 UTC, she addressed tax relief measures for seniors: “Our seniors built this country. We helped deliver No Tax on Social Security in the One Big Beautiful Bill. A $6,000 deduction for seniors, $12,000 for married couples, meaning 88% of Social Security recipients pay zero federal income taxes on those benefits. We introduced https://t.co/gbw0rh77FN”.
In a subsequent tweet at 17:30 UTC, Mace discussed the issue of birthright citizenship and its implications: “Every year, an estimated 250,000 to 320,000 babies are born on U.S. soil to illegal immigrant mothers, each one instantly eligible for a full range of federal benefits. Each one is a potential anchor for parents and extended family members to obtain legal status down the line. https://t.co/lrHgjdJg0S”.
