Rep. Nancy Mace, a member of the U.S. Congress representing South Carolina’s 1st district, posted a series of statements on her official Twitter account on May 29 and 30, 2026, outlining legislative priorities and policy positions.

Later that day, she announced new legislation focused on federal employment: “INTRODUCING: The Hire American Act. This bill does exactly what its title says: hire American workers only. On May 30, Mace took a firm stance regarding criminal penalties for child rape, stating, “We want the Death Penalty for anyone who rapes a child.”
Mace has represented South Carolina’s 1st District in Congress since 2021 after previously serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020. She succeeded Joe Cunningham as representative for the district in January 2021. Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina, in 1977, Mace currently resides in Charleston at age 45 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The Citadel (1999).
