Rep. Nancy Mace, who has represented South Carolina’s 1st district in the U.S. Congress since 2021, posted a series of statements on July 11, 2025, addressing issues related to law enforcement and accountability. Mace, a Charleston resident and graduate of The Citadel, used her platform to express concerns regarding public safety and transparency.

In her first post at 14:37 UTC, Mace commented on what she perceives as the consequences of policy decisions regarding law enforcement and crime. She wrote, “When you invite lawlessness, don’t act surprised when it shows up.”

Later that day at 15:21 UTC, Mace questioned the lack of clarity around an event involving former President Trump. She stated, “A year later and still no answers as to how this possibly happened? President Trump deserves answers, the American people deserve answers.”

At 16:28 UTC, Mace addressed the dangers faced by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. She expressed opposition to a particular application that she claims endangers ICE agents’ safety. According to her post: “ICE agents put their lives on the line every day to keep our communities safe and remove violent illegal aliens. This app puts a target on their backs. It must be shut down. Now.”

Nancy Mace was born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina in 1977 and is currently 45 years old. Before serving in Congress, she was a member of the South Carolina House of Representatives from 2018 to 2020.
