Berkeley County Government issued the following announcement.
Berkeley County held a special Retirement Ceremony earlier today, July 28, to celebrate a milestone moment for 20 different County employees. Each person recognized reached retirement between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021.
About half of the retirees were able to attend today's ceremony (pictured). However, the County honors all the retirees and are thankful for the hard work and dedication they've given to the County and its citizens over the years. We are beyond thankful for their service.
"I've worked with and gotten to know a lot of public servants across all departments, and they're just the best of the best. We hate to lose good workers...but that is a selfish and minority mindset compared to the excitement of retirement. You paid your dues; you put your time in, and we're super excited for you to get to move on. ...Congratulations, and we wish you the best." -Johnny Cribb, Berkeley County Supervisor
