Charleston County Parks & Recreation: Counting On Nature

Fall leaves picture

Charleston County Parks & Recreation recently issued the following announcement.

Date: Wednesday, August 25, 2021

Please join us in our ongoing effort to use citizen science platforms as a way to catalogue the life in your parks.

We will photograph and record what we can, then report those observations to applications to create inventories for future use. You will learn directly from our experienced naturalists about the nature around you and how to use citizen science on your own to contribute to conservation and further your knowledge base.

  • Ages 9 & up.
  • A registered and paid chaperone is required for participants ages 15 and under.
