Berkeley County Middle College High School issued the following announcement on August 17.
At the Tuesday, August 10, 2021 meeting of the Berkeley County Board of Education, board members approved the appointments of several administrators. The latest appointments are among more than 30 announced for the 2021-2022 school year.
Appointments approved on Tuesday, August 10, 2021:
- Katherine Batkins, a social studies teacher at Cane Bay High, will serve as the Social Studies Coordinator in the Office of Academics and Innovation.
- Deanna Martin, a Title I facilitator at Goose Creek Elementary, will now serve as an Assistant Principal at Goose Creek Elementary.
- Tomica Hofler-Bynum, a reading coach at Whittaker Elementary (Orangeburg) will now serve as a Coordinator of Targeted School Support in the Office of Academics and Innovation.
- Dr. Marion Baird, an assistant elementary supervisor at Dorchester County School District 2, will now serve as the Executive Director of Academics and Innovation.
- Sloane Chinners, a BCSD innovation coordinator, will now serve as the Science Coordinator in the Office of Academics and Innovation.
- The hiring of Dr. Anthony Williams as an assistant principal at Berkeley High was also approved. Dr. Williams will begin work at Berkeley High when released from his role in Sumter County School District.
