Sept. 16 Update:

We’ve received an update on Berkeley County’s Henry Brown Boulevard improvements project from the J.R. Wilson Construction Company:

Traffic control devices have begun to be installed along Henry Brown Boulevard between Liberty Hall Road and Hwy. 52, as well as on Old Mt. Holly Road between the intersection of Hwy. 52 and Goose Creek Fire Station No. 2.  There will be intermittent lane and shoulder closures throughout the project as equipment and material is mobilized. Drivers should be aware of the potential for lane closures effective immediately. Additional caution should be taken by drivers within the next week as traffic control devices are installed. As you travel through the construction zone, please follow directions and construction signage, and be mindful of equipment and crews working in the area at all times. Commuters should expect delays during the peak morning and afternoon hours.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience while this important project begins.
