Berkeley Chamber of Commerce: Dorchester Children’s Advocacy Center Welcomes Tony Pope as Chairman of the 2023 Board Directors

Berkeley Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on January 10.

Summerville, SC (January 3, 2022) – Dorchester Children’s Advocacy Center (DCAC), Children In Crisis, welcomes Tony Pope - State Farm Agent, as the incoming Chairman of the 2022 Board of Directors. 

Pope has been a State Farm Insurance Agent in the Charleston SC area since 1990 with offices in Mount Pleasant, North Charleston and Summerville. Pope brings to his role over 35 years of sales, administrative and management experience. 

“We are so grateful for the continued support from Tony Pope. His leadership skills and expert knowledge will certainly help Dorchester Children’s Advocacy Center continue to serve the needs of our community,” says Dr. Kay Phillips, Executive Director of the children’s center.

The mission of our center is to provide a coordinated, evidence-based response to child abuse that reduces trauma and provides treatment for the children and families in our community in a safe child-focused environment. Our vision for DCAC is to create communities in which children and families live free from abuse and are free to reach their full potential.

DCAC is a 501c(3) nonprofit agency located at 303 East Richardson Ave in Summerville, South Carolina and an upcoming second location in Moncks Corner, SC.
