Roman Catholic Diocese of Charleston issued the following announcement on January 29.
EN: Happy feast of St. Thomas Aquinas! He is known as the "Angelic Doctor" for his indispensable theological and philosophical writings, most notably his Summa Theologicae. From a young age, he fostered a great love for the pursuit of knowledge. He is the patron saint of Catholic schools and students, and was canonized in 1323.
ES: ¡Feliz fiesta de Santo Tomás de Aquino! Es conocido como el "Doctor Angélico" por sus escritos teológicos y filosóficos indispensables, sobre todo su Summa Theologicae. Desde muy joven, fomentó un gran amor por la búsqueda del conocimiento. Es el santo patrón de las escuelas y estudiantes católicos, y fue canonizado en 1323.
