Berkeley County Government issued the following announcement on January 29.
Berkeley County has updated the map for its proposed Redistricting Plan and is again seeking public feedback on it.
To fill out a questionnaire on the updated map and/or to download the map, go HERE: www.berkeleycountysc.gov/redistricting
Redistricting takes place every 10 years following the release of new data from the U.S. Census. District boundaries for federal, state and local elected offices are also redrawn to reflect shifting populations and other updated data from the Census.
A third and final vote on the proposed plan/map is scheduled to take place at the County Council meeting on Monday, February 14 at 6 p.m. at the County Administration Building in Moncks Corner.
