Berkeley County Adult Education Welding Initiative

The Berkeley County Adult Education (BCAE) Program in partnership with Berkeley County Government, Berkeley Electric Cooperative, Berkeley County School District and W International, is seeking residents of Berkeley County interested in pursuing a career in welding.
Non-experienced welders, or those wishing to hone their skills, may sign-up for a 14-week Gas Metal Arc Welding Fundamentals Course that will be offered at Timberland High, Cane Bay High and Cross High during the second semester of the current school year. Classes will be held from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., Tuesday-Thursday.

Upon completion of the course, participants will be given the opportunity to test with W International for employment.

To qualify, you must:

•    Be at least 18 years of age

•    Have a valid government-issued ID

•    Have a high school diploma or GED

•    Be a resident of Berkeley County
