College of Charleston equestrian juniors Camilla Murray and Lainie Rubin, along with senior Maddi Cardelli, received Ariat National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) All-America honors, the conference announced on April 7.
The recognition highlights individual achievements within the College of Charleston’s equestrian program. These awards acknowledge the top student-athletes in collegiate equestrian competition each year.
Rubin was named First Team All-America in the flat category, while Cardelli earned First Team All-America honors in fences. Murray received an Honorable Mention for her performance in fences for a second consecutive season. In addition to these national accolades, Cardelli and Rubin were recognized as Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Single Discipline Riders of the Year in their respective events—fences and flat. Rubin also secured spots on both the ECAC All-Conference and All-Tournament teams for flat and was named Most Outstanding Performer (MOP) of the flat during the ECAC Semifinals.
Charleston has qualified for the NCEA Single Discipline Championship for a second straight year and will enter as the No. 3 seed. The team is set to compete against No. 2 seed Dartmouth in a rematch from last season’s National Championship meet. The championship event will be held April 17-18 at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, Florida.
