Roman Catholic Diocese of Charleston issued the following announcement on December 31.
EN: A holy solemnity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of God to you! In order to elaborate on the natures of Christ as true God and true man, the Council of Ephesus declared Theotokos (literally God-bearer) as an official title of Our Lady. Today, let us ask Mary to intercede on our behalf in the presence of her son, Jesus Christ.
ES: ¡Santa solemnidad de la Santísima Virgen María, Madre de Dios para ti! Con el fin de elaborar sobre la naturaleza de Cristo como verdadero Dios y verdadero hombre, el Concilio de Éfeso declaró Theotokos (literalmente portador de Dios) como un título oficial de Nuestra Señora. Hoy, pidamos a María que interceda por nosotros en presencia de su hijo Jesucristo.
